#53 – The Ignorant Barrister.
In this weeks podcast episode of Right Your Own Story, I talk about an incident that took place many years ago when I was fairly new in the police.
I was at court for a short hearing of a case, (regarding some administration that was required), and was speaking to the barrier outside the courtroom. He seemed pretty friendly and down to earth and all was well, until we went into court.
Gone was the happy chappy with the soft midlands accent. Instead, this arrogant individual had suddenly appeared, and the phrase ‘having a plum in their mouth’ finally made sense to me.
The courtroom doors clearly contained some unknown magical quality that could change a persons entire persona!
He then tried to embarrass me in front of the judge. It hugely backfired on him, and he was quite upset at this.
As is quite normal for me, there was lesson to be learned here, and it’s a valuable one too, so I thought I’d share it with you.
Here is a link to contact me, if you would like to get in touch for something that is bothering you and would like help with.
I do hope you enjoy this episode.
Best wishes,
