Many years ago I was in the Territorial Army, and for charity we climbed the Three Peaks in 24 hours. The Three Peaks are the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. It was both exhausting and amazing, and the memory of it will stay with me forever.
Like many things in life, there are lessons to be learned in the things that we do (and do ‘not’ do), that we can take into other areas of our lives.
So, what lessons did I learn? – LOTS!
Things like, just keep going, see where the next footstep is being placed, glance at the top now and again to make sure you are on track, remember to catch your breath but don’t stop completely, the planning shouldn’t be overlooked, practice if you can etc.
The list could really go on and on.
